Permit News: January - February

Following is a rundown of the current limited entry permit market, primarily in Alaska. If you don’t see something that you think should be included, shoot us an email.


Bay permits have settled out at around $90k for the past few weeks. Activity has been slow with sellers @ $90k and buyers offering in the mid to high $80s. A couple of year- end sales of SE permits were right around $110k. PWS permits are moving occasionally around $190k. Activity picked up for Cook Inlet permits picked up with deals coming together in the upper $70s. Area M permits were slow to move and sellers were down as low as $85k. Buyers were offering $80k.


SE permits have completely dried up with the announcement of another buyback round. Last sales were around $270k. PWS permits are down to the $140s now. Kodiak permits were available as low as $39k. Area M permits were as low as $70k, with no new offers.


Asking prices for SE Power Troll permit were holding in the low to mid $30s and recent sales had moved up into the low $30s. Hand Troll permits are available at $10k.


Puget Sound Dungy permits picked back up with a recent sale @ $70k. SE dungy cards are available in most sizes at the lowest prices in years.
